between vacations

So we went on vacation to Coralla North Carolina and we had such a wonderful time. We ate great food. We swam in the pool. We visited the beach. We shopped. We went to a wine tasting. We drove on the beach with the 4-wheel drive jeeps. We played some Corn Hole. Now we go again in a little over 4 weeks. May life is good. I have alot of work to do at work in the next few weeks. Today I moved Back to School so I could set Halloween Candy. I was supposed to work straight through til September 11 when we go home for Shelby's birthday but I will be off this Sunday so that is nice, I don't know what we will do, the weather is supposed to be nice but we have a Hurricane coming up the coast that may change that.

Getting close

So we go on vacation in a couple of weeks and I can't wait. This week is a long one, I have off today and its the first day off in the middle of the week in a long time. Tomorrow and Saturday I work open to close and Friday til 6pm. Sunday I'm off and Johns daughter and our grandchildren are supposed to be coming for a visit. Today I'm supposed to finish up cleaning the spare bedrooms and the bathroom. We can actually see the hall going up to the attic, thanks to John. I want John to put shelves in the bathroom closet so I can store the blankets and sheets better. I'm going to catch up on my soap opera for an hour and then its back to work upstairs. The property manager is here finishing painting the front door and that will finish the front porch yay. I want to buy rocking chairs to put out there. So last night I booked our vacation house for our October vacation. We got the same house we had last year. I'm so sad because my parents won't be joining us this year, it isn't going to be the same. But Annie and BJ will be coming this year, they missed last year. Elizabeths boyfriend Jessie will be coming also this year. And Johns mother said her sister and nephew may come down for the weekend and get a hotel room. So back to the cleaning, I promised John I won't let the house get all cluttered up again. I hope I can keep my promise.

last day of vacation

Well my vacation was pretty boring. I did get home for the weekend, which was nice but short. Monday I went to work to write the schedule and Tuesday we went to see John's doctor. Wednesday I went and got my nails done and had a pedicure. Thursday I went to work to wrap my pallets to go on the truck Friday. And then Friday I went to work at 5:30am to unload the truck but I left at 8am and came home and waited for my friend Anne Marie to call me to go to lunch. So I met her and her children for lunch at Old Country Buffet. Then came home and waited for John to come home from work and then we went to dinner but I was still full from lunch since we didn't eat until 2pm. Saturday we got up and I made dip and cleaned and cut up vegatables to take to Annie's for a get together. We got to Annies and went to Nicholas' baseball game which was so nice to watch. Then we came back to Annies and Addrienne and Pat and David and Christopher were there so we checked out Chris' new Mercedeze Benz. Cool car. Its a convertable. NICE. Steve and Vicky got there and then Renee and Shawn and then the party began. We sat out on the deck, which is my favorite place in the Summer, I wish we had one. I like to sit outside in the sun.

Nice weather and Easter

Today is Easter and I had to work til 11:30am this morning and then I went to the grocery store because I fell asleep last night and didn't get to go work out and I was supposed to go to the grocery store while I was there. So when I got home I didn't want to stay inside I wanted to be outside in the warm sun and warm weather. I took the dogs out and trained them somemore on the dog fence. Aptiva got shocked and she cried out and then Pika got shocked on the next trip out and he cried out. Hopefully they won't get shocked anymore, but it does work well. So our riding lawnmower isn't working, I think it is the battery but John won't go buy one. I cut some of the grass with the push mower and boy is that a workout. John's mother is making Easter dinner and it smells so good, I'm so hungry. We are having turkey breast, stuffing, sucatash, sweet potatoe pudding, cranberry sauce and hopefully some rolls. Annie, Andrew and Maddie stopped by this afternoon for a short while, it was good to see them. I guess we are going to work out tonight, we have already missed Friday and Saturday so we need to go tonight.

Fitness Club

So Sunday when we went down to Delaware to get the wireless dog fence I saw that there was a new fitness center that has opened in the shopping center that our grocery store is at. So I looked it up on the internet and went to tour it today and joined and then tonight me and John went or an orientation and a program for us to work on. We were there for 1 1/2 hours learning about the equipment and taking a fitness test and getting our blood pressure taken and weight all that other stuff. We had to do sit ups for 1 minute to see how many we could do, I did 29 and then we had to measure how far we could reach past our toes and we walked on the tread mill and recorded our heart rate. I didn't even get a chance to tan. So tomorrow will be our first day of a real work out. We are going to do resistance training everyother day and cardio everyday. I'm hoping to loose 30 lbs in 5 months and 4 dress sizes. Wish me luck.

Day off

So I'm surfing the internet and I want to make some Oatmeal, maybe I will go in the kitchen and make some. I would have to empty the dishwasher in order to put my dirty dishes in it. I just don't have the energy. I think today we are taking the boat to get the gas motor fixed so we can put the boat in the Sesquehanna River and the Chesapeake Bay. John wants to pull the boat with my truck, Well the ball is not on the hitch so I don't know if that will happen or not. So yesterday I went to work and there was still ad signs that hadn't been put up for the Sale that started Sunday. I was not happy at all. So I ran around and put them up. I'm so tired of doing stuff that was supposed to be done the day before. So I'm off today so we will see what gets done today. I saw signs of some animal that has been in the yard, I wonder what it is? The weather has been so nice the last couple of days. I should wash my truck.

disappointing news

Hello all, I know it has been a while since I have blogged. I have been excited about a friend of mine coming back to work for the company and working for me at my store to help me get the store running without me there all the time so I can get promoted to a District Manager or at least keep moving up to get there eventually. I may have to run a more profitable bigger store before I can be a District Manager. So my friend interviewed with my boss on Friday and he offered her a store, which is great for her and I'm happy for her but I don't know what this means for me. I don't know if he will give me another assistant and send my assistant I have now to another store or if he will just keep it the way it is now. Whatever happens I will make the best of it. I'm just feeling a little down right now that what I had planned won't happen now. I don't know if he doesn't want to help me move up, which will only look good on his review if he gets a manager promoted to a District Manager. I will keep you up dated.
